Fuelling the Community

As well as filling a very important need within the South of Islay for everyone, the profit generated from the Filling Station facilities are pumped directly back to the Community.

In May 2014 SID took on the ownership and management of the Port Ellen Filling Station, the only Filling Station in South Islay. Over the last 10 years, the community has improved and expanded services to include:

24hr access to car wash, hoover & air compressor

MOTORHOME SERVICE POINT

CURRENTLY CLOSED - DUE TO OPEN EARLY 2025

SID has developed an on-site Motorhome Service Point. This has 12 new hook-up points with:

Access to Water and Electricity

2hr, 4hr & Overnight Pitches Available

Disposal Hut for Chemical Toilet Disposal

General Waste and Recycling Facilities

Access to WIFI

There is also a fuel trolley available for visiting boats to borrow for transporting fuel to boats,
The Filling Station is just under 500 metres away from Port Ellen Harbour.
